We are registered with Ofsted as a daycare provider who carry out regular inspections to ensure that the daycare standards are maintained. Ofsted also carries out a combined inspection to assess the educational aspect of the Nursery curriculum. Copies of our most recent Ofsted report are available from the Nursery or by following the link to the Ofsted Website. We are validated to receive Nursery Education funding for three and four year olds. Once eligible, your child can receive a maximum of five two and a half hour sessions per week for 38 weeks per year. The funding comes direct to the Nursery from Norfolk County Council and is deducted from your fees. Please contact the Nursery for the current eligibility criteria.

The dedicated Nursery staff are qualified and experienced in all aspects of Early Years Education. Our training policy ensures that all staff update their knowledge and skills by regularly attending training and conferences. All full time Nursery staff hold current first aid certificates. Every child at Nursery has their own key worker who completes their achievement document. For children aged under three this is the ‘Birth to three matters framework’ for children aged 3 to 5 years this is ‘The Foundation Stage’. Children’s learning is monitored closely and effective planning takes place to ensure that the next steps are met. Careful observations of the children ensure that they are gaining the most out of the Nursery classes.

At Loddon Nursery School we pride ourselves on our work with parents and Carers. Close relationships are developed and children’s achievements are shared and celebrated. We encourage parents to share in their child’s Nursery life by helping with activities, reading stories and supporting their learning. Parents meet regularly with their child’s key worker to view and contribute to their records. Daily exchanges of information ensure that Parents and Carers are kept informed of the progress of the child. |
