Welcome,
Loddon Nursery School is a private Nursery which has been owned by Jayne White since 1993. The Nursery is jointly managed by Jayne and Alison Bush who are both greatly experienced in Early Years.
The Nursery provides excellent care and education for up to 26 two - five year olds and is open all year round (excluding two weeks at Christmas and Bank holidays) During the school holidays we also run a holiday club for 2 - 9 year olds. The Nursery has two classrooms; Caterpillar room is for 2 and 3 year olds and Butterfly room is for 3 and 4 year olds. We have a beautiful fully enclosed, all weather garden where the children have many opportunities for play, exploration and learning.

We are registered with Ofsted as a daycare provider who carry out regular inspections. Copies of our most recent Ofsted report are available from the Nursery or by following the link to the Ofsted Website. We are able to access Nursery funding on behalf of your child to the maximum that Norfolk County Council allow each term. Currently, children become eligible the term after their third birthday. Please contact the Nursery for up to date information.

The dedicated Nursery staff are qualified and experienced in all aspects of Early Years Education. Our training policy ensures that all staff update their knowledge and skills by regularly attending training and conferences. All full time Nursery staff hold current first aid certificates. Every child at Nursery has their own key person who forms a warm and caring relationship with both child and parent. The key person completes the child's individual records which consist of both photographs and written observations. Each child’s learning is monitored closely and individual plans ensure that each child’s next steps for their development and learning are followed.

At Loddon Nursery School we pride ourselves on our work with parents and Carers. Close relationships are developed and children’s achievements are shared and celebrated. We encourage parents to share in their child’s Nursery life by helping with activities, reading stories and supporting their learning. Parents meet regularly with their child’s key worker to view and contribute to their records. Daily exchanges of information ensure that Parents and Carers are kept informed of the progress of the child. |
